"Evolution of a Black Girl" Comes To Limestone Sept. 17

Morgan Avery McCoy, an author, speaker, historical interpreter, and award winning actress will present her one-woman show “Evolution of a Black Girl: From the Slave House to the White House” at Limestone College’s Fullerton Auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m.
The general public is invited to attend and admission is free.
McCoy’s show takes the audience on a journey through 12 women’s lives from the 1400s in Africa to present day at the White House in the United States. Women such as Rosa Parks, Maggie Walker, Madam C.J. Walker, Coretta King, and Michelle Obama are showcased in the production.
“This show is great for audiences of all ages and backgrounds,” McCoy said. “The universal theme of hope inspires all who see it.”
After the show, McCoy will hold a question and answer session with the audience.
The performance in Gaffney is being sponsored by the Limestone Activities Board (LAB).
