A comprehensive year-long study by Limestone College students and their physical education professor could lead to a fitness trail that will wind its way throughout the community, including the Gaffney residential historical district, Limestone campus, downtown Gaffney, and the Gaffney Manufacturing Mill Village.

Limestone Professor Brings Insight to Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse

During the summer, Limestone Associate Professor of Elementary Education Dr. Penelope Saurino hosted a series of workshops for Darkness to Light (D2L), a non-profit prevention program based out of Charleston, SC.

The mission of the organization is to provide adults with the education necessary to protect children from sexual abuse, and Dr. Saurino wants to spread the organization's message to the community here. And the best part is that it is offered at no cost.

English Professor Chronicles Mother’s Bout with Breast Cancer in Published Article

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Limestone College English Professor Erin Pushman has published a riveting nonfiction article that chronicles her mother's battle with the disease.

The article, entitled "Revolving Glass," appears in the Fall 2011 edition of Segue, an online literary journal produced by Miami University (Ohio), and can be found at www.mid.muohio.edu/segue .
