The Limestone College Music Department will showcase its Brass Ensemble, Jazz Combo, and Men's Ensemble during a concert this Tuesday (April 3rd) evening.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

Limestone Conference Ignites Spark for Technology and Science Within Women

On Friday (March 23), 60 female high school students took part in Limestone College's  inaugural Women in Technology and Science (WITS) Conference.

The students are sophomores and juniors from Cherokee County high schools, and were were identified by officials at their schools as having strong aptitudes in the areas of science, technology, and health. The goal of the conference was to ignite and nurture that talent not only for learning but for excelling in those fields.

There was not an empty seat to be found Monday evening (March 19) when Mary Badham ("Scout" in the classic film verson of To Kill a Mockingbird).

Badham treated the audience with behind-the-scenes tidbits from the making of that classic film and her friendships with other actors in the film including Gregory Peck. She also expressed her thoughts on social issues of today.

Social Work Professor to Speak at Statewide Symposium About Motivation

Tim Hanshaw

Tim Hanshaw, Assistant Professor of Social Work at Limestone College and Associate Director of the institution's Social Work Field Placement Program, has been invited to speak at the annual symposium for the South Carolina chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (SCNASW).

More than 1,500 attendees are expected to attend the four-day symposium, which will be held March 11-14 in Columbia.
