In celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Limestone College will host April C. Turner for a performance of her original production "Promised Land."

The event, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Monday, January 21st, in the College's Fullerton Auditorium at 11:00 a.m. A second performance for Cherokee County eighth graders only will be held in the auditorium on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

New Scholarship Initiative for Women
WITS participants are eligible for Limestone's new McMillan Scholarships.

Limestone College is kicking off the New Year with a brand new scholarship program designed specifically for women.

The grants will be worth $8,000 annually for a total of $32,000 over four years.

Bobby James, a veteran defensive coach with 18 seasons of collegiate football experience, has been named as the first head coach in the history of the Limestone College football program, as announced by President Dr. Walt Griffin and Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mike Cerino at the Spartanburg Marriott Renaissance Hotel on Friday, December 14.
