Winnie Davis Hall of History: Back from the Brink

Although a formal celebration is not scheduled to be held until April, the Winnie Davis Hall of History is-for the first time in over three decades-open for classes at Limestone College.

The much-anticipated move became a reality with the start of the Spring 2010 semester on January 13.

Limestone Student Leadership Organization Earns National Award

Community service and a commitment to helping others, longtime hallmarks of the Limestone College experience, were recognized at a national conference recently when the College's Student Alumni Leadership Council (SALC) was awarded the Jenzabar Foundation's Best in Class award during a conference in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Limestone Students Inducted into National Honor Society

Eight Limestone College students have been inducted into Alpha Chi, one of the largest honor societies in the world.

The distinction rewards substantial academic achievement and is limited to the top ten percent of an institution's junior and senior classes. Members are nominated by the faculty and must have outstanding moral character and display leadership, integrity and service.

Red Cross Names Limestone College Community Partner of the Year

imageIn accepting the Piedmont Chapter of the American Red Cross's Community Partner of the Year award for Limestone College, President Walt Griffin noted that Limestone's involvement impacts not only the community, but the college students as well. "When they are using their talents for service," Griffin explained, "it not only gives them a sense of purpose, but the lessons will stay with them, we hope, for the rest of their lives."
