Alumni Band and Chorus Concert

On Saturday, April 17th at 2:30 pm, the Limestone College Music Department and Office of Alumni Programs will present the Alumni Band and Chorus Concert in Fullerton Auditorium. The concert is open and free to the public.

SALC 5K Run and 1 Mile Run/Walk Cancelled

The Third Annual Limestone College 5K Run and 1 Mile Run/Walk to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation scheduled for April 10, 2010 has been cancelled due to unforeseen construction along the race route.

While the Student Alumni Council (SALC) looked for altenative options to hold the race, no suitable option was available.

Although the race has been cancelled, the SALC has raised over $500 without participant and sponsorship monies, and will continue to raise funds throughout the remainder of the academic year for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

 
Gospel “Explosion” Concert at Limestone this Saturday

The Limestone Gospel Choir

A benefit concert of eclectic gospel music will be held in Limestone College's Fullerton Auditorium this Saturday, March 27th, at 7:30 p.m. to benefit the Limestone College and Community Chorus's summer 2010 trip to Austria.

Entitled "Gospel Explosion," the family-oriented concert will feature the Limestone College Men's Ensemble, the Limestone Gospel Choir, and student-led groups Blessed Beyond Measure and Secret.

Limestone Theatre Presents Student-Written Play About Redemption

Limestone College Theatre will present Searching in the Night, an original play about redemption by Limestone sophomore Joey Mayberry, March 25-27 in the Limestone Theatre Center at 130 Leadmine Road.  Curtain time for all performances is 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for seniors over 65 and students with valid identification. Tickets will be available at the door, but reservations made online at will ensure particular seats can be selected. All Limestone students, faculty and staff will be admitted free of charge.

Inspired by a certain power ballad by 80s rock group Journey, Searching in the Night follows two young people leaving their troubled past lives behind in the hopes of starting new.  Mayberry mixes humor, live rock music and pathos to excellent effect.
