Limestone Wind Ensemble to Present Festive Works

Tuesday evening's concert by the Limestone College Wind Ensemble will center upon pieces written to celebrate religious and festive perspectives. The concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

With Limestone Band Director and Music Education Coordinator Dr. Douglas Presley conducting, the 47-member ensemble will perform works including:

 

  • They're Off (Fred Jewell)
  • Blessed Are They (Johannes Brahms)
  • Symphonic Suite (Clifton Williams)
  • Cathedral Music (Kenneth Singleton)
  • Century Variants (David Gillingham)
  • AMEN! (Frank Ticheli)

Limestone Rededicates Winnie Davis Hall of History; Photo Slideshow Added

On Friday, April 16th), the historic Winnie Davis Hall of History at Limestone College was rededicated.

Featured in the program were performances by The Limestone College and Community Chorus, The Limestone College Jazz Ensemble, and the student-group Saxophore.

Professor Honored by South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Group

Gabe Stoeppler

Gabe Stoeppler, associate professor of accounting, at Limestone College, will be presented with the 2010 Excellence in Teaching award from South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Inc. (SCICU)

Stoeppler has been a member of Limestone College's business and economics faculty since 1990.  Currently serving as associate professor of accounting, he chaired the college's Department of Business, Economics and International Studies for 10 years.

LIMESTONE theatre to Present COMEDY "CRIMES OF THE HEART"

Limestone College Theatre will present the boisterous, sometimes shocking, often touching, and ultimately redeeming comedy, Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley. The comedy opens Thursday, April 15th and will run through April 18th. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets prices are $8 for adults; $4 for seniors (65 and older) and children 12 and under. Limestone students, faculty and staff are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door or can be reserved online .
