Limestone College Physical Education Center Named in Honor of President Griffin

Dr. Walt Griffin hugs his grandson after the Limestone Physical Education Center was officially named for the college president.
During a special dedication ceremony on Friday, Oct. 23rd, Limestone College's Physical Education Center was officially named the Walt Griffin Physical Education Center in honor of the college's president.

Limestone Sports Teams Will Wear Special Patch

Limestone College women's soccer player Bekki Hagarman wears a specially designed patch on her uniform that all Limestone athletic teams will display this year.

Limestone College sports teams will wear a specially designed patch on their uniforms this year to mark community unity and support in the wake of a series of serial killings.

Homecoming Weekend Attracts Hundreds to Limestone

 


April Barnhill paints the face of happy young man during the Homecoming Picnic.

By all accounts, Homecoming 2009 at Limestone was a rousing success.

Highlights included the induction of the 2009 Hall of Fame Class; over $17,000 being raised through the Third Annual Scholars, Dollars & Chocolates Scholarship Banquet; the Saints Club Golf Tournament which attracted 128 participants; and a picnic and Family Fun Zone.

Holocaust Survivor Visits Limestone to Share Story of Survival and Triumph

On Monday, October 12, Holocaust survivor Nesse Godin will continue Limestone College's "Through the Darkness; Toward the Light" speaker series as she shares her personal story of survival and triumph over evil. Her presentation will begin at 7: 00 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

Godin's appearance at Limestone, which is made possible in part by grant assistance from the South Carolina Council on the Holocaust, is the second event in the speaker series which is centered upon healing the wounds of the Gaffney community after a terrorizing two-week summer reign of brutality by a serial killer
