Valentine's Day may have come and gone, but Limestone College Theatre is keeping romance in the air with its spring production of Almost, Maine.

The hit romantic-comedy will be performed at the Limestone Center Theatre (130 Leadmine Road)  February 24-26 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee performance on February 27 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for seniors (65-years-old and older) and students, and are available for purchase at the door or can be reserved online . This production is recommended for mature audiences. "In a word, the play is about love; Loving love, hating love, fearing love, denying love, and finding love," said Dr. Carrie Ameling, Associate Professor of Theatre and English at Limestone and Director of Almost, Maine.

"The play takes place in the fictional small town of Almost, Maine where the residents find themselves falling in and out of love in surprising and sometimes hilarious ways.  Hearts are broken, and hearts are healed-almost-in this delightful, whimsical production."

Critical acclaim for Almost, Maine is abundant.

  • "A whimsical approach to the joys and perils of romance. Magical happenings bloom beneath the snowdrifts. Almost, Maine explores the thunderclap of love and the scorched earth that sometimes follows." The New York Times

  • "Truly sweet and charming...a crowd-pleaser." The Boston Globe
