The Limestone College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Student Alumni Leadership Council combined their efforts to donate $1469.71 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Saints' donation was in coordination with the NCAA Division II's national fundraising campaign.

Limestone's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee raised $918.71 through a year-long change drive and shirt sales. SALC donated $551 to the cause. "At Limestone, we take to heart the notion of helping others, and helping children is such a humbling and rewarding experience. We would love to have been able to give more to the Make-A-Wish Foundation but our annual 5K run, which is our main vehicle for raising funds to support children in Cherokee County, was cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control," said Mark Pursley '10, a senior from Rock Hill, S.C. who is serving as president of SALC

In 2009, SALC was recognized at a national conference when the Jenzabar Foundation's Best in Class Award was presented for the group's highly successful second annual 5K race fundraiser which raised $5,000 all of which was given to the Cherokee Children's Home.
