| Two Limestone Alumnae Present Solo Art Exhibitions |
Two Limestone College alumnae are presenting solo art exhibitions during the month August. Carlton Moore Mullinax, a 1962 Limestone graduate, is presenting 20 selections from her on collection for display on the second floor of Gaffney's City Hall (201 N. Limestone Street). Susan Dunn '05 is showcasing a number of her recent works in an exhibit entitled "Changing Patterns" at the Atelier 24 Lexington Gallery of Fine Art in Asheville.
An opening reception for Dunn's exhibit will be held at the gallery on Saturday, August 13 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. "My art work displays the people, places, and things that have influenced my life," Mullinax said. "I can become so involved with a painting that I have no concept of time. My palette is filled with a multitude of vibrant, splashy, fun colors, which in turn reflect my personality. About her exhibit, Dunn says "you will see not only the use of actual visual pattern, but also patters of thought, habits, and subject matter. Visual patterns include geometric shapes, color changes, and a harsh Byzantine outline."
