Limestone Students Lead the Way in Providing Thanksgiving Meals for Upstate Families

Limestone student Trevor Hudson loads Thanksgiving food to be delivered to families in the Upstate.
With Limestone students at the helm of a Thanksgiving food drive, at least ten families in the Upstate will be able to enjoy a holiday meal with all the trimmings.

The drive, which was led by the criminal justice, psychology, and social work clubs at Limestone, was the epitome of a community and college working together to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Two families in Spartanburg, four in Gaffney, and four in Blacksburg will personally receive the food items from Limestone students.

A comprehensive year-long study by Limestone College students and their physical education professor could lead to a fitness trail that will wind its way throughout the community, including the Gaffney residential historical district, Limestone campus, downtown Gaffney, and the Gaffney Manufacturing Mill Village.

English Professor Chronicles Mother’s Bout with Breast Cancer in Published Article

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Limestone College English Professor Erin Pushman has published a riveting nonfiction article that chronicles her mother's battle with the disease.

The article, entitled "Revolving Glass," appears in the Fall 2011 edition of Segue, an online literary journal produced by Miami University (Ohio), and can be found at www.mid.muohio.edu/segue .
