Limestone College

On December 4^th, more than 200 member s of the Limestone College family-including alumni, parents of basketball players, students, faculty, and staff-invaded Charlotte, NC's Time Warner Cable Arena to watch a thrilling three-overtime matchup between the Limestone men's Saints basketball team and the Catawba Indians.

Those who purchased specially-priced tickets through the Limestone Alumni Association received the added bonus of admission to that evening's NBA clash between the Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Bobcats.

Kayla Hamalainen '10

Few Limestone graduates have traveled farther than Kayla Hamalainen during their education careers.

Hamalainen comes from Vancouver in Canada where she was a standout softball player. Her prowess on the diamond led to a 2-year stint at Lake City Community College in Florida before she traveled to Limestone College for her final two years.

Limestone College conferred approximately 500 degrees to graduating seniors during commencement exercises Thursday (December 9), Friday (December 10) and Saturday (December 11) in the College's Fullerton Auditorium.

Dr. Randall Wolfe, Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of the College's Psychology Department, delivered Thursday's commencement address to day students of the College's Gaffney campus.
