LIMESTONE NAMED "MILITARY FRIENDLY SCHOOL"

Military-Friendly-School-2014 Logo 300x200The 2014 nationwide list of “Military Friendly Schools” was released recently, and Limestone College was one of those included in the latest edition.

The listing, announced by www.MilitaryFriendlySchools.com, showcases the top 20 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus.

STEINWAY SERIES TO FEATURE PIANIST EUGENE ALCALAY

Eugene Alcalay PhotoLimestone College will present its first Steinway series concert of the new school year on Tuesday, Sept. 24, as pianist Eugene Alcalay takes the stage at Fullerton Auditorium for a 7:30 p.m. performance.

The public is cordially invited, and there is no admission fee.

ART EXHIBITS ON DISPLAY

PHOTO - Colorscapes ExhibitThe Limestone College Art Department is currently featuring its first three exhibits of the year, at two different locations on campus.

“Colorscapes and Introspections” is an art exhibit on display at the Granberry Gallery.  It features art by Dr. Henry Fagen and Lee Simmons.

“Post Your Bills: Reacting to Propaganda and Emotion,” is an interactive view and respond exhibit of posters curated by Karl Trybus, Assistant Professor of History, in conjunction with ID100 Section 5 .  That display is set up in the A.J. Eastwood Library Conference Room Gallery.
