ART EXHIBITS ON DISPLAY

PHOTO - Colorscapes ExhibitThe Limestone College Art Department is currently featuring its first three exhibits of the year, at two different locations on campus.

“Colorscapes and Introspections” is an art exhibit on display at the Granberry Gallery.  It features art by Dr. Henry Fagen and Lee Simmons.

“Post Your Bills: Reacting to Propaganda and Emotion,” is an interactive view and respond exhibit of posters curated by Karl Trybus, Assistant Professor of History, in conjunction with ID100 Section 5 .  That display is set up in the A.J. Eastwood Library Conference Room Gallery.

CONSTITUTION DAY ACTIVITIES

CONSTITUTION DAYLimestone College observed Constitution Day on Sept. 17 with many activities, including a scavenger hunt across campus (seen in this photo). Later in the evening, a Constitution Day presentation was held with historian Ivory Wilson at the Cherokee History and Arts Museum. MASTER CLASS WITH GUITARIST DAVID BURGESS

guitarA recital at Limestone College on Sept. 17 provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a group of young talented guitarists.

Recently returned from a seven-city European concert tour, guitarist David Burgess performed some of Brazil’s finest solo guitar music during his concert at the Carroll Fine Arts Building Recital Hall.

With the blessing of Burgess, Limestone music professor Dr. Harry “Chip” Hill recently contacted Michael Miller, a Lawson Academy of the Arts guitar instructor from Converse College, and encouraged him to bring his youth ensemble of guitarists known as “Bella Chorda” to Limestone for an afternoon master class work session with Burgess.
