Limestone Mourns Loss of Landon Hershel Guglielmana

The Limestone College family is mourning the tragic loss of freshman Landon Hershel Guglielmana who succumbed to injuries sustained in an early morning automobile accident Monday, November 30, 2009. Guglielmana was returning to the Limestone campus after visiting with family in Florida over the Thanksgiving weekend when the accident occurred on I-26 in Enoree, South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held in Limestone's Timken Gym Wednesday, December 2, at 4:00 p.m. The service will be broadcast on the web via Penn Atlantic .
A native of Madera, California and member of Limestone's inaugural men's volleyball team, Guglielmana played for Madera South High School where he was the school's career leader in digs, aces and kills. He was also a mathematics major and greatly involved with the college's Christian Education and Leadership Program which prepares students to become effective Christian leaders. "Landon was a truly a special person and will be greatly missed," said Reverend Ron Singleton, Chaplain at Limestone and director of the Christian Education and Leadership Program. "He was committed to helping other people, and everything he did was with dignity and integrity."
