Sarnoff Named Fellow by Holocaust Education Foundation

SarnoffDr. Jonathan D. Sarnoff, Associate Professor and Chair of the Limestone College Department of History, has been selected as a Fellow for the 14th Annual Summer Institute on the Holocaust and Jewish Civilization, sponsored by the Holocaust Education Foundation.

The Summer Institute on the Holocaust and Jewish Civilization, held annually at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, is an intensive two-week course of study designed to broaden and deepen the background of current and prospective Holocaust educators. It is open to advanced graduate students and faculty at the college or university level. Fellows receive awards covering room, board, and tuition during the program.

"I'm very honored to be selected as a Fellow," said Sarnoff. "The Institute will enhance my knowledge of the Holocaust, which will in turn be passed down to my students at Limestone."

Sarnoff has been at Limestone since 2003 and has taught a Holocaust studies class at the College since 2004.
