Limestone College Athletics already provides some of the most entertaining sports action in the Upstate of South Carolina but if that isn't enough to entice you to come see the Saints, make sure to check out a full promotion schedule for the remaining nine home basketball dates. The majority of these dates will be 5:30 p.m. tip-offs for the women and approximately 7:30 p.m. for the men.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, when Erskine comes to town Limestone Athletics will host both Community Social Media Night and Limestone Nation Night.
Fans will be able to get into the games free if they show they are following Limestone Athletics on Facebook or Twitter. They need only show their phone or printed proof at the ticket booth.
Also, "Limestone Nation" t-Shirts will be on sale for $5, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish, the official charity of NCAA Division II Athletics. Last year, the Saints raised $4,421.50 to lead Conference Carolinas and were ranked No.18 out of 317 Div. II schools across the nation.
It may be Jan. 25, 2014, when Pfeiffer visits the Timken Center but its going to be '90's Night! Come dressed in your plaid shirts, Doc Martins and overalls and take a trip back with the Saints as we blast all those classic Jock Jams throughout the game and even have '90's trivia at halftime.
Limestone kicks off February by honoring some of the individuals that have allowed our nation to have the freedom that it does as we celebrate Military Appreciation Night on Feb. 6 vs. North Greenville. Anyone showing a military ID at the ticket booth can get four free tickets to that night's games and we'll have a special rendition of the National Anthem prior to the men's game.
The women will host Converse at 2 p.m. onFeb. 8 and that afternoon will feature select in-game promotions before the Saints are back with a double-header on Feb. 12. That will be Bernie's Kids Club Night, where all members are invited to a VIP pre-game event, will get to do a meet-and-greet with the men's and women's teams and receive a free schedule poster that they can use for autographs.
As spring gets closer, Girl Scout cookies arrive and that's exactly what we'll have on Feb. 22 when Mount Olive comes to town. Local Troop 841 will be on hand all night selling cookies and will be recognized at halftime of the men's game when they are presented their Limestone Saints badges. Make sure to get their early so you can get your favorite cookies!
Limestone will wrap up the 2013-14 basketball promotions schedule on Feb. 25 with Senior Night and Dinner from the football coaches. Prior to their respective games, the seniors for the men's and women's teams will be recognized, while the Saints football staff will treat the first 200 fans through the doors to a hot dog dinner that starts at 6:30 p.m. Head coach Bobby James will speak at halftime of the men's game.
