Metrolina LOGOLimestone College Theatre dominated a division of the Metrolina Theatre Association Awards held in Charlotte earlier this month, winning nine awards including the top honor for Outstanding Production.

Nominated in 11 categories in the College division, Limestone Theatre captured the Outstanding Production for “Avenue Q.”

  • Outstanding Lead Actor - Male: Matthew Smith (2013 graduate, Myrtle Beach, SC) - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Supporting Actor - Male: Bryan Long (senior, Greenville, SC) - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Cameo: Damon Green (senior, Blacksburg, SC) - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Direction: Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Set Design: Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Costume Design: Harmonie Skipper, Cody Bostic (junior, Gaffney, SC), and Shirley Baxter - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Lighting Design: Christopher Patterson (senor, Union, SC) - “Avenue Q”
  • Outstanding Choreography: Dr. Carrie Ameling - “Avenue Q”

The awards ceremony was held on Oct. 6.

Tim Baxter-Ferguson, Ph.D., is the Theatre Department Chair, and is also a Professor of Theatre and English at Limestone College.
