The Limestone College Alumni Association Board of Directors annually select recipients for six different award categories to recognize the numerous achievements and contributions alumni and friends make to their communities and to Limestone College.

Nominations are accepted throughout the year.  The deadline for the 2017 awards is Friday, August 4.

To make a nomination, please review the brief objective for each of the different awards and submit the
Outstanding Alumni Awards Nomination Form.

Please provide the Alumni Office with your name and a reason for the nomination so we may contact you if there are any questions concerning the nomination and also to notify you of the award winner. Please note that we must have your name and a reason for the nomination in order for the person to be considered for an award.

Guidelines

The following awards will be given annually if there is a qualifying alumnus to receive the honor:

Alumna/us of the Year
Young Alumna/us of the Year
Service to College
Service to Education
Service to Church 
Service to Community


The award winners will be chosen by the Limestone College, which has the right to select a nominee for a different award from which he/she was originally nominated.  An electronic submission or written nomination must be turned into the Alumni Office.  Nominations will be kept on file to be considered for up to five years.

Criteria

1.  The nominee must be an alumna/us of Limestone College.

2.  The nominee must not have already received the award for which they are nominated.

Awards Description and Criteria

Alumna/us of the Year

Recipients of this award must have graduated at least three years prior; provided distinguished and meritorious service to the College; and engaged in voluntary services at the local, state, and/or national level.

Young Alumna/us of the Year

Recipients of this award must have graduated at least three years prior; cannot be over the age of thirty-five; and must embody qualities of character and achievement.

Service to College

Recipients of this award must be involved with the College and show a genuine love for Limestone. Involvement includes, but is not limited to: helping to increase alumni participation and giving, serving on a board or committee, and/or serving as a class agent.

Service to Education

Recipients of this award must have served in education for at least three years; and must personify high quality teaching and educational services.

Service to Church

Recipients of this award must have a well-defined sense of mission and purpose and be service oriented.

Service to Community

Recipients of this award must be residents of the community for at least three years; must be involved in at least two different community organizations or services; and must show civic responsibility.
