The event will open with “The Star-Spangled Banner” (arr. Richard H. Brewer) followed by “Festival Sanctus” (John Leavitt), “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross” (Gilbert M. Martin) and “Alleluia” (Ralph Manuel).

Barry Shreve

We connected with Dr. Barry Shreve, Director of Limestone College’s Extended Campus, who filled us in on the long history Limestone has with online education, what students who enroll in an online program can expect from the school, and what online education at Limestone will look like five years from now.

Here are a few things that make Limestone College’s online programs unique:

Columbia, SC – Faculty from 20 private colleges will be recognized for their dedication to teaching by South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) at the 10th Annual Excellence in Teaching Awards Dinner held Tuesday, April 14.

Each of the 20 member institutions of the SCICU consortium selects one faculty member to receive the award, which includes a professional development grant for the professor. Each recipient is chosen by his or her institution according to rigorous criteria.

The Limestone College Music Department will present “Hymns & Folk Tunes: The Essence of Wind Band” on Tuesday, April 14, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The annual Wind Ensemble concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Erin Pushman

Erin Pushman, an Associate Professor of English at Limestone College, spent nearly a year pulling glass refuse from Little Sugar Creek in Charlotte. The creek has a turbulent history of contamination and pollution, and that is precisely what drew Pushman to its banks and even – with the protection of boots – into its water.

"It's one of the few natural water bodies in Charlotte, so I go to Sugar Creek to experience nature and to clean up what I can,” said Pushman, who is also the Director of the Writing Center at Limestone.
