The Social Work major is offered through the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences. This major is appropriate for students planning a career in Social Work plus many other areas of human services. Field Practicum

In addition to the courses listed, a Field Practicum will be assigned. Field practicums engage the social work student in 400 hours of supervised social work practice and provide opportunities to apply classroom learning in the field. Limestone graduates are trained in:

General Education

To earn a degree at Limestone College, students must meet a General Education requirement. The General Education requirement covers the basic areas of academic study which the College considers essential for a well educated person. For the Baccalaureate Degree, the requirements include:

• 6 semester hours in Social Sciences and History
• 18 semester hours in Fine Arts and Humanities
• 9-10 semester hours in Natural Sciences and Mathematics
• 2 semester hours in Physical Education (Day Program Only)
• 1 semester hour in Interdisciplinary Studies (Day Program Only)
