|Academic Success Center Math|
The Academic Success Center is available to all students for tutoring. It houses the Writing Center, the Math Center, and Tutorial Services. Peer tutors are available to provide assistance with writing assignments, math problems, or to help students with any other discipline.
The Limestone College Mathematics Department is pleased to offer a peer mathematics tutorial service available to students, staff, faculty, and administration. Tutors are typically upper-level mathematics and/or mathematics education majors who provide no cost and one-on-one tutoring in mathematics. The tutoring covers a wide spectrum of courses from basic arithmetic, elementary and college algebra, statistics, the calculus series, to upper level subjects. Students are encouraged to take frequent advantage of this free service, getting valuable assistance before quizzes or tests occur.
Free tutoring services are available to all Limestone College students at the Academic Success Center. These tutors are able to work with students on development of papers and review of course content, which includes English, Math, History, Science, etc.

Tutors as a Faculty Resource
Academic Success Center tutors are students helping other students become active, life-long learners. As well as individual tutoring, the tutors also lead study groups, do presentations, and share with the faculty their insights on individual students' learning needs. They can provide feedback to the faculty on assignments, curriculum, and tests.
A tutor may spend as many as 30 hours of direct contact with an individual student per semester. This puts the tutors in a unique position to offer information to faculty. Professors are encouraged to use the tutors as a valuable resource.
The Academic Success Center is located in the Dixie Lodge on the second floor, in Room 103, across from the post office.
The Coordinator for the Academic Success Center makes all student appointments. She can be reached at extension 4411. Students may also drop in to sign up to meet with a tutor. Appointments can be made Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All students must complete the Needs Assessment Form to receive special accomodations.
