Limestone College is proud to announce the fourth annual Limestone College Honor Band Clinic. This year's clinic is FREE to selected members! Honor Band members will be selected from a list of nominated students provided by students' Band Director. Honor Band members MUST be nominated by their band director to be considered for the clinic. Chairs will be determined by a short performance audition (see schedule) which will include: selected scales and sight-reading. Honor Band members will receive: quality instruction, masterclass with Limestone College Faculty, lunch and dinner in the Limestone College Dining Hall, an honor band tee shirt, and a free concert. The Band Director Nomination form (click to link to form) is available online. The band director will receive notification, via email, within 36 hours of submitting the nomination form confirming receipt. Band director nominations (click to link to form) are due December 7th and selections for the Honor Band will be provided to the Band Director by December 12, 2011. Once selected, Honor Band Students are to complete and mail a Registration Form , available online, by January 9, 2012. Senior High School Honor Band members will also be allowed to participate in a Scholarship Competition during the clinic. The winner will be provided with a $16,000 music scholarship to Limestone College. The Scholarship Competition winner will be announced at the Honor Band Clinic. Scholarship Competition eligibility: selected into the Honor Band, a high school senior, and must enroll in the competition (found on the Registration Form). Music for both the high school and middle school may also be available through SmartMusic. The program list will be available online. When students have been notified of their selection into the Honor Band, they may begin preparing for the clinic by going into SmartMusic, opening the program titles, and practicing. IMPORTANT DATES:December 7 Band Director Nomination Forms are due December 12 Band directors will be notified which students have been selected for the Honor Band via email January 9 All Honor Band Students' Registration Form is due (mail)
