Noises Off

Following a four-show summer production in May, “Noises Off” returns to the Limestone College Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2. Show-time each day is at 7:30 p.m.

The play, written by English playwright Michael Frayn, will again be directed by Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson, Limestone’s Director of Theatre and Musical Theatre

Advance tickets are available at All tickets are $5 each. Limestone students, faculty and staff are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before each performance.

Limestone College Professor of English Erin Pushman had an article published in the August/September issue of Breastfeeding Today, the official magazine of La Leche League International.

The article is entitled “What To Expect – and Learn – from Baby’s Diaper For The First Six Weeks.”

Pushman also had an essay published in the September 2015 issue of Breastfeeding Today, which narrated Pushman's own breastfeeding challenges during her early weeks of motherhood.

While Limestone College was out for the summer, our very own Professor of History Dr. Jonathan Sarnoff continued to be a Presidential Election Analyst for WSPA News Channel 7, a CBS affiliate out of Spartanburg.

Here is a screen shot of Dr. Sarnoff (far left) on the set at WSPA during the Democratic Convention. He was also an analyst for the Republican Convention as well.

Limestone College had a total of 232 students named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of 2016.

Those students represent 14 states and 12 different countries.

Full-time students (taking a minimum of twelve semester hours) receiving the grade of “A” in all of their courses are included on the Dean’s List.

The list includes students from Limestone’s traditional Day Program, and Extended Campus Classroom and Internet Programs.

Limestone College's A.J. Eastwood Library will host "Know Your Library Day" on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The event will take place on the front campus near the historic fountain. There will be drawings, giveaways, games, and more! Music will be provided by the Limestone Marching Saints. Giveaways will continue inside the library after 1 p.m. Stop by for flashdrives, notepads, pens, water bottels, and tote bags!

Nineteen Limestone College sports teams and Cherokee County eighth graders helped package 100,000 meals destined for Third World countries.

An assembly line process was used Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 22-23, to combine rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a packet with 23 essential vitamins into small meal packages. The meals will be shipped worldwide by Stop Hunger Now relief organization to food assistance programs in developing countries such as Venezuela, Syria, Belize and Colombia.

Limestone College’s Fall Presidential Convocation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at 10:15 a.m., in Fullerton Auditorium.  

The Convocation is designed especially for new students, both freshmen and transfers, but other students who would like to attend are welcome. 

Classes will not meet at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. in order for faculty members to attend Convocation. 

The entire College community is invited to a cookout on the front campus following the Presidential Convocation. The cookout start time is approximately 11:30 a.m.
