Limestone College Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night Or What You Will” during a three-night run Oct. 8-10.

For the fifth straight year, the Community Music School at Limestone College is offering quality music instruction to students of all ages.

Enrollment is now open for the program which offers private lessons in piano, brass, percussion, woodwinds, guitar, drumming, and voice.  Lessons are available from members of the Limestone music faculty as well as upper class music students at Limestone.

Limestone College will welcome former NBA player Paul Shirley for a speaking engagement at Fullerton Auditorium on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Shirley is a former professional basketball player who now writes, teaches, speaks, and runs a writing workshop in Los Angeles.

He has a unique message that will be of particular interest to student-athletes.

Six new members will join the Limestone College Board of Trustees when the group gathers together for their first meeting of the 2015-2016 academic year in October. (Please click on the accompanying graphic to see the full photos of all six new board members.)

The new members’ terms started on July 1, and the next meeting of the Board of Trustees is set for Friday, Oct. 23, at Limestone’s main campus in Gaffney, South Carolina.

Alpha Chi

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. in the Camp-Swofford Chapel, Limestone College will hold its pinning ceremony for the the Alpha Chi Honor Society students.

At 6 p.m., Limestone will host a dinner for the Honors students at the Stephenson Dining Hall Banquet Room.

Limestone Assistant Professor of History Dr. Karl Trybus will be speaking to the group about his recent trip to Spain.


Constitution Day
Wednesday, September 16, 2015 - 12:00pm

On Thursday, Sept. 17, Limestone College will host a special program to celebrate "Constitution Day."

The event will be held in the area in front of the Curtis Administration Building beginning at 12 noon.

The Limestone chorus and art departments will be performing.

Also, a Limestone student will read the first three Articles of the Constitution.

We encourage everyone to attend.

Wofford College in Spartanburg will welcome Limestone College art professor Carolyn Ford for an “Artist Talk & Reception” on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Ford’s “Discombobulated” exhibit of recent works in ceramics will be featured at Wofford from Aug. 31-Oct. 30 in the Martha Cloud Chapman Gallery.

Tuesday, September 15, 2015 - 9:00am

Morgan Avery McCoy, an author, speaker, historical interpreter, and award winning actress will present her one-woman show “Evolution of a Black Girl: From the Slave House to the White House” at Limestone College’s Fullerton Auditorium on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m.

The general public is invited to attend and admission is free.
