Limestone College’s A.J. Eastwood Library will host a student research symposium on Monday, April 27, and Tuesday April 28.

Topics will include the areas of Psychology, Criminal Justice, Art, Business, and Education.

Summer Session

Students who are looking for a way to get ahead in their school work this summer will not have to search very far.

Limestone College will be offering Summer Session classes at its Gaffney campus to high school and college students during the month of June.

Friday, April 17, 2015 - 4:15pm

Limestone College’s music department will present its annual Spring Choral Concert on Tuesday, April 21, at Fullerton Auditorium. The theme of this year’s concert is “A Program of 20th & 21st Century Composers.”

Admission to the 7:30 p.m. event is free and the public is invited to attend.

The event will open with “The Star-Spangled Banner” (arr. Richard H. Brewer) followed by “Festival Sanctus” (John Leavitt), “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross” (Gilbert M. Martin) and “Alleluia” (Ralph Manuel).

Columbia, SC – Faculty from 20 private colleges will be recognized for their dedication to teaching by South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) at the 10th Annual Excellence in Teaching Awards Dinner held Tuesday, April 14.

Each of the 20 member institutions of the SCICU consortium selects one faculty member to receive the award, which includes a professional development grant for the professor. Each recipient is chosen by his or her institution according to rigorous criteria.

Friday, April 10, 2015 - 4:00pm

The Limestone College Music Department will present “Hymns & Folk Tunes: The Essence of Wind Band” on Tuesday, April 14, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The annual Wind Ensemble concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Erin Pushman
Friday, April 10, 2015 - 2:15pm

Erin Pushman, an Associate Professor of English at Limestone College, spent nearly a year pulling glass refuse from Little Sugar Creek in Charlotte. The creek has a turbulent history of contamination and pollution, and that is precisely what drew Pushman to its banks and even – with the protection of boots – into its water.

"It's one of the few natural water bodies in Charlotte, so I go to Sugar Creek to experience nature and to clean up what I can,” said Pushman, who is also the Director of the Writing Center at Limestone.

Limestone College will host an Open House for prospective day students on Friday, April 10.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Fullerton Auditorium. At 9:55 a.m., there will be a Fine Arts presentation at Fullerton Auditorium. Welcoming comments from Limestone president Dr. Walt Griffin will come at 10:20 a.m.

A campus tour then begins at the Academic Quad beginning at 10:40 a.m. At 11:15 a.m., faculty presentations to prospective students will be held at Hamrick Hall, while parents will attend a presentation at Fullerton Auditorium.
