Dr. Arthur Romano, an international peace-educator, consultant and certified nonviolence trainer, will be speaking at Limestone College on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

His topic will be “Civility and Difference: Sustaining conversations that matter on campus.”

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Limestone College is planning the biggest homecoming event in its history.

The second annual “Big Blue Tailgate” is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Sleep-Easy Mattress Tailgate Lot located at 437 Hyatt Street in Gaffney. The event area is just steps away from the football stadium at Gaffney High School.

Hot food, cold drinks, and great music will be on tap hours before Limestone kicks off its homecoming football game against Wingate University at 1 p.m. at Gaffney High School’s “Reservation.”

As Saints alumni from all across the globe come marching home, several special events are scheduled for Limestone College’s upcoming Homecoming celebration.

Homecoming activities will begin on Monday, Sept. 26 and wrap up on Saturday, Oct. 1, as the Saints football team takes on Wingate University at the Reservation stadium at Gaffney High at 1 p.m.

On Friday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., during the Homecoming Cookout, each full-time Limestone College day program student, faculty member, and staff member will receive a free uniquely designed Limestone themed t-shirt!

T-shirts are limited to one (1) per person and will be available only during the Homecoming Cookout from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the front campus. T-shirts cannot be picked up before or after that time.

Please show your L-Card or Limestone ID at the pick-up location to receive your free t-shirt.

Following a four-show summer production in May, “Noises Off” returns to the Limestone College Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2. Show-time each day is at 7:30 p.m.

The play, written by English playwright Michael Frayn, will again be directed by Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson, Limestone’s Director of Theatre and Musical Theatre

Advance tickets are available at www.showtix4u.com. All tickets are $5 each. Limestone students, faculty and staff are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before each performance.
