A production of the musical comedy “Company” will have a three-night run at Limestone College Theatre on March 2-4. Show-time each day is at 7:30 p.m.

Advance tickets are available at Adult tickets are $12 each, while those 65-over and non-Limestone students (with ID) are $8 each. Limestone students, faculty and staff are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before each performance.

The Limestone College Department of Theatre recently had several of its students recognized at the Region IV Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival at Georgia Southern University in Greensboro, Ga. 

Twenty Limestone students participated in the festival and eight were selected to compete in the Irene Ryan Scholarship Competition. A panel of invited judges selected the students based on their works in recent Limestone College productions.

Limestone College was recently designated as having one of the Top 20 online Social Work programs in the nation, according to a nationally-recognized website.

The website recently released its 2017 list of the best values for online colleges for Social Work and Limestone is ranked No. 19 in the United States. No other schools from South Carolina made the ranking.

The Limestone College Department of Music will host the Stephen Anderson Trio for both a demonstration and a concert on Tuesday, February 21.

The demonstration will take place at 2 p.m. in the Carroll Recital Hall, while the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Fullerton Auditorium. The public is invited to both events, which are free of charge.

Limestone College’s Department of Art is planning a tour of Spain in 2018 and is looking for students who might be interested in making the trip.

Professors Carolyn Ford and Emily Tuttle are organizing the 13-day excursion that will include stops in Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Costa del Sol, Seville, Toledo, Madrid, and Lisbon. The trip will also offer a Spanish cooking lesson for those who are interested.

Brittany Durrah, a junior from Duncan, SC, was crowned Miss Limestone College 2017 at a pageant on Saturday, February 18.

Durrah, who graduated from Byrnes High School, is a member of the Limestone cheerleading squad. Performing a lyrical dance routine, she also won the award for Overall Talent.

She will now advance to the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Pageant that will be held at Township Auditorium in Columbia June 20-24.

Ten contestants competed for the title of Miss Limestone College during the pageant held at Fullerton Auditorium.

Limestone College will host the third of its “Take 10: Career Tips in 10 Minutes” series webinars on February 21 and February 22.

Participants can choose to view the webinar online on Tuesday, February 21, at 7 p.m., or on Wednesday, February 22, at the same start time.

The free online webinar series has been created to give participants a brief overview of a specific career-related topic.

The “Take 10” webinars will take place periodically, and future dates will be announced soon.

Limestone College will host an Open House for prospective day students on Friday, February 24.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Fullerton Auditorium. At 9:55 a.m., there will be a Fine Arts presentation at Fullerton Auditorium. Welcoming comments from Dr. Paul LeFrancois, Economics Professor and Chair of the Division of Professional Studies, will come at 10:20 a.m.

UPDATED: Miss Limestone College 2017 Winner: Brittany Durrah.

Ten contestants will vie for the title of “Miss Limestone College” during a pageant on Saturday, February 18, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The event, sponsored by the Limestone Activity Board, will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Adult tickets are $7 each at the door, while children 12-under will be admitted for $5 each (cash only). Limestone College students, faculty, and staff will be admitted for free.
