"Dog Sees God"

Limestone College Theatre will present “God Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead” during a three-night run Feb. 18-20.

An unauthorized parody, the play imagines characters from the popular comic strip Peanuts as teenagers.

Senior Keasha Currence, a 22-year-old native of Rock Hill, was crowned Miss Limestone College 2016 during a pageant held on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Fullerton Auditorium.

A member of the Limestone Dance Team, she is the daughter of Keith and Vivian Currence.

In addition to serving as an ambassador for Limestone in the community and at select on-campus events at the College, Currence will now advance into the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Pageant to be held June 21-25 at Township Auditorium in Columbia.

Boot Camp
Thursday, February 11, 2016 - 4:15pm

Authors and radio hosts Dr. Joni Frater and Esther Lastique, creators of the college speaking series “Sex Ed Boot Camp,” will be appearing at Limestone College on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.


Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.


Filled with vital information, the program will not be a typical health lecture. The program will include discussions of basic anatomy, sexual health and responsibility, Title IX, and violence prevention.

Nine contestants will vie for the title of “Miss Limestone College” during a pageant on Saturday, Feb. 13, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The event, sponsored by the Limestone Activity Board, will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Advance tickets are $5 each through the Limestone Student Services office and $7 at the door (cash only).

Singing Valentines February 12, 2016

Instead of the standard candy and flowers to capture hearts for Valentine’s Day, Limestone College hopes local residents will select a more “vocal” approach.

For the second straight year, the Limestone College Chorus is prepared to surprise that special someone with an out of the ordinary gift later this month, a Singing Valentine.

The Chorus members will deliver Singing Valentines throughout the Cherokee County area on Friday, Feb. 12, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Limestone College Professor Carolyn Ford, Chair of the Art Department, is currently featured in a solo art exhibit entitled “Circular” at North Greenville University.

The exhibit, which features both functional thrown works as well as low relief tiles, will be on display through Feb. 29. An Artist Talk featuring demonstrations will be held on Feb. 9 at 8 a.m. in the NGU ceramics lab.
