Limestone College will host the third of its “Take 10: Career Tips in 10 Minutes” series webinars on February 21 and February 22.

Participants can choose to view the webinar online on Tuesday, February 21, at 7 p.m., or on Wednesday, February 22, at the same start time.

The free online webinar series has been created to give participants a brief overview of a specific career-related topic.

The “Take 10” webinars will take place periodically, and future dates will be announced soon.

Limestone College will host an Open House for prospective day students on Friday, February 24.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Fullerton Auditorium. At 9:55 a.m., there will be a Fine Arts presentation at Fullerton Auditorium. Welcoming comments from Dr. Paul LeFrancois, Economic Professor and Chair of the Division of Professional Studies, will come at 10:20 a.m.

Ten contestants will vie for the title of “Miss Limestone College” during a pageant on Saturday, February 18, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The event, sponsored by the Limestone Activity Board, will begin at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Adult tickets are $7 each at the door, while children 12-under will be admitted for $5 each (cash only). Limestone College students, faculty, and staff will be admitted for free.

Limestone College was recently designated as having the most affordable regionally accredited online program in South Carolina, and is ranked as one of the most affordable in the nation, according to a nationally-recognized website.

Earlier this month, the website www.CollegeChoice.net released its 2017 list of the 50 most affordable online programs in the United States, and Limestone ranked No.13 overall. No other schools from South Carolina made the ranking.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and the Limestone College Chorus is making plans to help you surprise your special someone.

For the third straight year, the Limestone College Chorus is prepared to deliver an out of the ordinary gift later this month, a Singing Valentine.

The Chorus members will deliver Singing Valentines throughout the Cherokee County area on Tuesday, Feb. 14, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Limestone College had a combined 424 students named recently to either the Dean’s List or the Honor Roll for the fall semester of 2016.

Those students represent 21 different states and 15 different countries.

Envision a world where, without leaving your living room, you can visit exotic locations, improve your athletic training, receive psychological therapy, or experience story-telling without picking up a book.

Imagine it no more. That world is a reality, as Limestone College students proved during a symposium held last semester at the A.J. Eastwood Library.

Four students from Dr. Randy Nichols' Digital Literacies I class presented research on the developing medium of Virtual Reality at the Student Research Symposium in December.

The press conference takes place at 10 a.m. at the Football Locker Room located at the Bob Campbell Field House.

Limestone College is No. 5 on the list of “Best Online Colleges In South Carolina” recently released by one nationally-recognized website. 

The top eight institutions in South Carolina, according to AffordableCollegesOnline.org, are, respectively, North Greenville University, University of South Carolina-Upstate, University of South Carolina-Columbia, Columbia College, Limestone College, Coastal Carolina University, Charleston Southern University, and W.L. Bonner College.
