Limestone Professor Erin Pushman Has Essays Selected For Re-Publication

Limestone College Professor of English Erin Pushman recently had two of her essays selected for re-publication.

Pushman’s Feed The Baby was originally published in Breastfeeding Today, and was re-published over the summer in the edited blog Women’s Health Today from Praeclarus Press. In addition, an excerpt of her essay, Intercourse, Recall, was selected for the forthcoming anthology WAVES, a Confluence of Women’s Voice. The anthology from the A Room of Her Own Foundation is inspired by Virginia Woolf.

“I am happy that two of my previously published creative non-fiction works are coming out in new venues because re-publishing gives writing a new life on a new page – or screen,” Pushman said. “Being part of an anthology like WAVES is an honor. I am also extremely pleased when my work appears in online media, like the edited blog from Praeclarus, because the readership is so wide.”

Pushman is the Director of the Writing Center at Limestone. She is a member of the standing committee for the CCCC Creative Nonfiction Special Interest Group. Pushman has had two articles published in Breastfeeding Today, the official magazine of La Leche League International.

Recently, her other writing has appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Confrontation, Cold Mountain Review, Segue, 1966: a Journal of Creative Nonfiction,”and the anthologies Boomtown and More New Monologues for Women by Women II.  She is the recipient of a 2017 North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grant.
