"Instrumentally Gifted" Chamber Concert Is April 22

Members of the Limestone College faculty will present “Instrumentally Gifted,” a Chamber Concert on Friday, April 22, at 5:30 p.m. in the formal parlors of the Curtis Administration Building.

Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

Faculty members performing include Dr. David Thompson (harpsichord), Dr. Chip Hill (clarinet), Mary Ada (violin), Dr. Patrick Carney (euphonium), and Dr. Gena Poovey (vocalist).

The chamber concert will mark the first public performance of Limestone’s Franco/Flemish harpsichord, which was made possible recently by a donation from 1960 alumnus Carroll Kirby and his wife Fay.

Also, Barbara Lackey McCall, Class of 1947, donated the 1804 German violin in memory of her mother Viola Chandler Lackey from the Class of 1924. The violin was donated to Limestone in 2010.
