Honors Program Students Attend Southern Regional Honors Council Conference

Limestone College had four Honors Program students participate in the Southern Regional Honors Council Conference held in Orlando, Florida from March 31 to April 2, 2016. Students presenting at the conference included Shalyn Dougherty, Rycki Ebert, Angela Hervig, and Cassidy Parker: These talented students presented their research on the following topics during the exhibition portion of the conference.

Angela Hervig: Cultural Misappropriations in Modern Day Fashion

Shalyn Dougherty: Social Media Marketing

Rycki Ebert: Effects of Multidrug Resistance Gene Deficiency in Intestinal healing in a model of IBD.

Cassidy Parker: John Lennon and His Music

The Southern Regional Honors Council (SRHC) promotes the advancement of honors programs facilitated by colleges and universities. The SRHC offers several programs that provide monetary support for scholarship and leadership of students from member institutions.

The annual conference provides an opportunity for students to gain experience in sharing their research in a public forum and allows them the opportunity to interact with honors program students from colleges and universities throughout the Southeast.
