The Communications Office is responsible for getting the right messages about Limestone College to the right audiences at the right time.

Within the Institutional Advancement Division, the Communications Office creates and implements a strategic, multi-faceted communications program designed to build and strengthen the College's role and reputation as a leader in higher education. It devises program guidelines and policies, oversees implementation process, and provides quality control for communications programs, media activities, and special publications. The Communications Office assists with all related aspects of the Institutional Advancement Division, including Advancement, Alumni Programs, and Development.

We help manage communications on campus to be sure students, faculty, and staff are informed about important events and issues in a timely manner. We also help connect Limestone to the world, reaching out to the news media, prospective students, parents, alumni, donors, key volunteers, friends of the College, and the Limestone and Cherokee County communities.

The Limestone College Communications Office tells the College’s story across multiple channels to its many audiences. With broad expertise in media relations; multimedia; design; marketing; and print, digital, and social platforms; the Communications Office supports the College’s goals and provides strategic direction for its communications.

The Limestone College Communications Office annually publishes the Limestone Today and Report To Investors magazines and shares the latest Limestone news through timely media releases. The office also provides content and information for the College’s website www.limestone.edu.

The office administers many of Limestone’s official social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The Communications office also manages media relations for the College, working with local, regional, and national media to share news and stories, responding to queries, and facilitating interviews when appropriate.

The Limestone College Alert System, which allows the College to notify and update all students, faculty, and staff of an impending or on-going emergency situation using the latest broadcast technologies, is also operated by the Communications Office.

In the absence of President, or as directed by the President, the Limestone Communications Director serves as the official spokesperson of the College.
